we're off to see the cider, the cider at boomtown fair! [05 Aug 2009|03:42pm] [ mood | bored ] lolz! Did end up going out on Friday, was a banger! So glad I went!  Only had 3 bulmers though, Max had some smellies home to take drugs and that but I am so not up for chemical drugs at the moment so I toodled off to bed and put my trusty ear plugs in  - an essential if you live in a small flat with a big noisy man.  Spent Saturday watching films (Mongol was an especially good one, loved it!) and then went to Kookie's mansion house on Sunday and cooked a roast dinner for 16 people!! Work has been sooo boring this week - I'm so unmotivated because I'm off to Boomtown Fair on Friday woooooooop and then I have a whole week off and its my birthday woooooop! Will bring cake in for the work people tomorrow - scoff scoff Off to Kookie's again tonight for the last meal with all my mates before Boomtown wayhey!!   Can't wait!!!!!!! 3 waffles| waffle at me

Felt a tad hungover this morning but a big ol sandwich sorted that out! didn't really rate Durrty Goodz, thought he was a bit crap.  Double edge was wicked though!  Really liked him and his crew! Meant to be going to Toxic Soundsytems debut night tonight but I am sooo tired...might just cook a really yummy dinner and pass out! Maxwell has got the weekend off, finally we can stay in bed till midday and watch films Might do some gardening tomorrow 11 days till my birthday! ^_^ waffle at me

Random musings [30 Jul 2009|11:39am] [ mood | dorky ] I am so frickin bored at work today. When is my event planning going to kick off? Gah! Had to drop Ferdinand (my car) off for his MOT today, ugh nailbiting stuff! Hope its OK and it isn't going to cost too much because I have NO money at all! Had an e-mail from Simon from the Oxfam Walk group asking if I would like to fill the vacancy of Marketing & Publicity Coordinator - of course I would! Hurrah! Lots of responsibility and work to keep me going through my mind numbing days at my job that pays me lots but doesn't give me any work to do! Woop! So I am very happy about that :) Its nice that people trust me with such an important job. I have started brainstorming already! I need a celebrity to promote it, we didn't get one at all last year. Hmm, Cambridge celebrities. I'm thinking Stephen Fry (because I want to hug him and he's so Cambridge its unreal) or perhaps Lily Cole? She is at Cambridge Uni after all. But is she a bit too cool for Oxfam? Probably. Need someone a bit more...'cosy' Hmmmm I have also e-mailed Options (the hot chocolate people) asking them why the hell they don't stock the big pots of Outrageous Orange in any of the Cambridge supermarkets. Maybe they'll send me a free one? Watched A Bittersweet Life last night, amazing film! Byung-hun Lee is hottttt!!! So hot. Mmmmm. It was nice to see an asian film where all the focus wasn't all on some beautiful porcelain doll type girl. I LOVE asian cinema but sometimes for a girl it can get quite tedious. So it was nice to have more focus on a fit fit fit bloke for once. That's not the main reason I loved the film by the way, its an awesome piece of cinema! hehe! Really looking forward to tonight, Max is getting a little time on stage at the Fez Club with Restoration Camp - supporting none other than Durrty Goodz! Grimey! It will be nice for him to be able to MC to an actual audience for once, guaranteed.  His last two 'shows' were an absolute flop, not his fault but due to bad promotion! Tonight will def be a banger though the good people of Cambridge are hungry for a Thursday night grime mashup!  Note to self - do not drink too much vodka.  It is only Thursday and you are going out tomorrow.  Be.A.Good.Girl. So let's update! [29 Jul 2009|02:46pm] [ mood | creative ] Well this is a bit crazy, I haven't been on livejournal for over 3 years!  Last time I posted I was a miniscule 18!  I'm now nearly 22!  Sadly I don't think anyone on my friends list posts anymore, probably for the same reason that we grow up out these internet fads.  But it has been amazing re-reading my posts.  Quite surreal actually.  I'm amazed at how lively, opinionated and slightly nuts I was 3 years ago. Do you want to know something?  Not much has changed!  I am much more chilled out now, still have the same interests (and still like to get on it, though not nearly as often or in as much excess!  Don't think I'd share in quite as much detail these days either!)  I've decided to start posting again because I really enjoyed reading over my entries, and it gave me a lot of perspective on my life.  Just from reading silly entries like 'fuck the system' (lol!) and maybe in 3 years time when I'm 25 I can re-read all over again! So here is a brief summary of what's being going on in Rosie land! I have lived in a few houses, all still in Cambridge.  I ended up getting a fulltime job in an office for a windows company, and that really set me up for a 'proper job' and not just flitting about.  I met a boy, Maxwell, in April 2006, and we led a crazy lifestyle going to parties every weekend, blowing our minds on drugs and generally having a mad one. A couple of friends died that year..young friends.  One from drugs and one in a motorbike crash.  That slowed us down a bit.  I then moved in with a friend for the first time ever (I always stayed in nasty bedsits) and that was growing up occaision number 2.  Of course, we were/are all messheads, but you have to be a bit more behaved when you're living habits affect other people! In May 2008, when me and the boy had been together for 2 years, we went travelling.  I bought a transit van, Max's dad built us a bed and a cupboard and we both quit our jobs and drove to France.  From there we spent 4 months in France, Barcelona, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium and then we went back home.  We went to Rototom Sunsplash and Hiphop Kemp and met loads of new friends.  And we didn't kill each other!  We said it would be a make or break experience for our relationship...and it made us!  On our return Max moved to Cambridge to live with me full time, and I went to college (yes college!) for a 6 week secretarial course.  Whilst on the course I applied for a job as a fundraising/alumni assistant for Cambridge University as a joke...and I got the job!!! So now I, Rosie, eternal mash head punk rocker ska techno clown, have a real job. And I'm in a long term relationship. Hahahahahaha!!!!! That's not all!  In May 2009 my housemate upped it and moved to the big smoke, so me and the boy decided to move in together.  Blimey! So we have our own flat, on MILL ROAD!! (anyone that read my LJ in 2006 will remember that was my first ever house on my own) with our own garden and life is most joyous.  Max works for a lovely cafe making cakes (perfect) and we generally live the good life.  We're pretty skint but we have had an amazing 3 years together.  We've grown up A LOT and shared some pretty sad times, but in general I can't complain at all. Might post some pics when I've got a bit of time :) till the next post - which will be very soon!  Work is rather sparse at my job so I have a lot of time to be waffling on this!! [14 Nov 2005|12:01pm] this weekend we went to a link up party which was confiscated, monolith, eruptions and one love. it was LOUD. think it was in northamptonshire somewhere...we rung the party line and went to a meet up point in a service station and there were hundreds of cars and everyone was well rowdy and excited so it was wicked. it took us all ages to find the party but we got there at about 5am. i got battered on loads of k and speed and weed and stumbled about all night with rhys, matt, ed and jack and it was wicked :D the pigs shut it down at about 10am and the rig owners didnt put up much of a fight so we all had to go home :( went to bed about 10pm and slept allll night. now in a shit mood cos i still feel really really fucking tired and i have to go and work in a nursery for 3 hours this afternoon...i think id rather pull my teeth out with pliers whilst listening to tom jones...aaaaaaah piccies!! http://gallery.squatjuice.com/gallery2/v/Nov2005Pics/rosies+monolith+pics+12_11_05/?g2_navId=x3219c26b waffle at me
